There is some shopping and places to eat, but it is small. The nearest city is about 2 hrs away (and so is the airport). Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. I submitted with a truly meh MCAT (490), an average GPA (cGPA 3.6, sGPA 3.5), but do have over 1000+ hours of patient care experience working as an MA. I'm retaking the MCAT tomorrow and am confident I can bring my score up. .
